The Miss Vamp is an undead Soul of Rebirth enemy in Final Fantasy II that references the Vampiress monster from Final Fantasy IV, as they share the same japanese name. Found in the Unknown Cave, she is not as powerful as her counterparts in the main game's world. While Miss Vamp's attacks do drain HP, their total HP is inferior to most enemies and they cannot cast any spells. Still, they give up a fair amount of gil when defeated.

Vampires are mythological or folkloric beings who subsist by feeding on the life essence, generally in the form of blood, of living creatures. Although vampiric entities have been recorded in many cultures, and may go back to "prehistoric times", the term vampire was not popularized until the early 18th century.
