The Minotaur Zombie, also known as the ZomBull or Necrotaur in the Nintendo Entertainment System and PlayStation versions respectively, is an enemy in the original Final Fantasy. It is an undead version of the Minotaur with pale green skin.
Stats[]
Battle[]
As it is undead, Minotaur Zombie is susceptible to Fire and Dia. It has high Magic Defense, but low Weapon Defense. It attacks in groups of up to two at a time. It is found when going to Lufenia, as it only appears in the second floor of the Citadel of Trials, along with other enemies. It is one of the best experience and gil farms on the Peninsula of Power, especially when found with Trolls as a well-placed fire-elemental spell can deal significant damage to all of them.
Strategy[]
To quickly end a battle among a group of Minotaur Zombies, the player should let spell-casting party members attack with elemental weakness spells. Overall, they are not difficult enemies (unless fought on the Peninsula of Power much earlier than they are intended to be encountered), and they are easy to defeat, especially if the party has two or more physical attackers.
Etymology[]
Minotaur was a creature from Greek mythology with the head of a bull and the body of a man. He is descended from the union of the Queen of Crete and a white bull. He roamed the Labyrinth, where he hunted and killed a tribute of young men and women until he was slain by Theseus.
Thezombie is an animated corpse resurrected by mystical means, such as necromancy. Since the late 19th century, zombies have acquired popularity in North American and European folklore.
