Louisoix Leveilleur: Eorzea was destroyed by a force of unimaginable power raining down from the sky. It is the dawn of a new age!
The following article covers a subject from a previous version of Miner Quests that has since been removed.

The following is a list of Miner Quests from Final Fantasy XIV version 1.0.

A Piece of History[]

Journal[]

  • The words of Linette at the Miners' Guild have inspired you to seek your fortune in Eorzea's mineral resources. The wastelands of Ul'dah betray an immense mineral wealth of precious metals and stones below their surface. Head for the Nanawa Mines to see about beginning your mining endeavors.
  • While speaking to Z'ssapa at the entrance to the Nanawa Mines, the twin heirs apparent to Amajina & Sons Mineral Concern, Popokkuli and Seserukka, come and require that you prove your worth to gain entry. They have directed you to bring whatever you happen to find to Z'ssapa for inspection. Speak to her to find out more.
  • Prospect in and around eastern, western, and central Thanalan to find what valuables you might, and bring them to Z'ssapa for appraisal.
  • While searching in Thanalan, you discover an ancient ceramic shard, which a Lalafell named Nenekko tells you comes from an ancient city called Sil'dih. Speak to Nenekko further and learn if the shard will prove enough to win the favor of the flexing Lalafell twins. If you have lost track of her, perhaps Z'ssapa could prove to be of some assistance.
  • Nenekko harbors a profound interest in the ancient history of Sil'dihn civilization. As you attempt to learn more from her, the twins Popokkuli and Seserukka appear yet again, and you soon learn that they are the elder brothers of Nenekko. Leave the brothers to their meals and see Nenekko safely back to Ul'dah.
  • Nenekko bids you farewell once the two of you are beyond eyeshot of her brothers. In exchange for your Sil'dihn shard, she agrees to convince Popokkuli and Seserukka to grant you access to the Nanawa Mines. Return to Amajina & Sons Mineral Concern.

Little Saboteurs[]

Journal[]

  • Linette informs you that Popokkuli and Seserukka have assembled a group of adventurers and set out for Gridania. She advises that you travel north with all haste to catch up with them before your absence is noted, or else you will invite the twins' wrath.
  • You finally track down Popokkuli and Seserukka at the Roost in Gridania as they are attempting to learn where it is Fafajon has headed. Visit the chocobo stables and speak to the talkative coachman to learn what you can.
  • You have located the coachman who seems to have the information you require. Parley with him to loosen his tongue.
  • You have coaxed the information you require from the coachman. Contact the twins via linkpearl and tell them what you have learned.
  • After telling Popokkuli and Seserukka of the field of flowers Fafajon visited, they immediately set out for it themselves, demanding that you meet them there. Make your way to the field of flowers near Longroot and see what it is they want.
  • Searching around the field, you discover a small box buried in the ground, after which Popokkuli and Seserukka order you to return to Ul'dah and prevent Nenekko from traveling to Gridania. Visit Amajina & Sons Mineral Concern and speak to Linette about how best to proceed.
  • You learn from Linette that Nenekko's parents plan to send her to Gridania for a period of rest. In preparation, her lady mother has taken her shopping and the two of them are now visiting Eshtaime's Lapidaries. Hurry there and attempt to speak with Nenekko before it is too late.
  • Arriving at Eshtaime's Lapidaries, you overhear the conversation of Nenekko and her lady mother, the latter claiming she wishes for nothing more than her daughter's happiness. Speak to Nenekko to learn her feelings.
  • Nenekko reveals that her overprotective brothers are seeking to sabotage Fafajon's proposal of marriage. Even Nenekko herself seems to be troubled by the prospect of being wed... Return to the Concern and speak with Linette.
  • While speaking with Linette, Nenekko's lady mother enters and warns you never to speak or draw near her daughter again, and then chides her sons for attempting to interfere with Nenekko's betrothal yet again. Will wedding bells finally ring for young Nenekko? Use the Echo on the twins to learn their history of matrimonial sabotage.

Runaway Little Girl[]

Journal[]

  • Linette informs you that Nenekko has gone missing, and that her brothers Popokkuli and Seserukka are tearing the city apart piece by piece in their search for her. Heed Linette's advice, and visit the Quicksand to see if Momodi has any helpful information.
  • To your surprise, you encounter Nenekko at the Quicksand while speaking to Momodi. Troubled, confused, and unsure of right from wrong, she has run away from home in her desperation. She begs for you to take her along with you on your travels, but is she lucid...or raving mad? She flees as her brothers draw near. Find her and hear everything she has to say.
  • You find Nenekko at the place where the mirage of the Sil'dihn ruins can be seen. She proceeds to get quite philosophical, likening the fading memory of Sil'dih to her own existential dilemma, before asking you to see her safely to the ferry docks of Vesper Bay. She says she will wait for you at the border to western Thanalan.
  • Escort Nenekko west to the ferry docks of Vesper Bay. Use whatever means you must to throw off any pursuers. This might very well require some actual digging...
  • You have lost your pursuer and finally arrive at the ferry docks of Vesper Bay. The sight of the ocean seems to awaken something within Nenekko, and her resolve seems to take form and harden before your very eyes. At her request, contact her brothers by linkpearl.
  • Popokkuli and Seserukka waste no time in departing for the ferry docks of Vesper Bay after receiving your summons. No doubt Nenekko will be safe with them. Return to the Miners' Guild and see Linette about your reward.
