Appearances[]
Final Fantasy XIII[]
Midnight Sun is a weapon for Snow that is the upgraded form of Unsetting Sun, his Stagger Lock weapon; with it, Snow can build stagger, but cannot push the enemy past the threshold into the actual stagger phase. As a counter to this handicap, the weapon has high physical stats, and is a good choice for upgrading as Snow is physically-focused fighter whose full ATB skill deals physical damage. The Unsetting Sun is found in Taejin's Tower and is bought from Gilgamesh, Inc., and when mastered, transforms into the Midnight Sun with a Perovskite. Midnight Sun is part of the "Gestalt" synthesis group that can activate the excellent "Random: Instant Chain" and "Gestalt/TP Boost" passive abilities.
