Behind the scenes[]
Change history[]
From the initial relaunch through Heavensward, Miasma II originally could be used by Arcanists, Scholars, and Summoners. It dealt unaspected damage with a low potency of 20 to all targets in range surrounding the caster and dealt damage over time with a potency of 10 for a period of 15 seconds. In addition, the spell also had the chance to inflict the Disease status for a duration of 15 seconds.
After the release of Stormblood, Miasma II was removed alongside other abilities that were not being used commonly by players. However, the ability was reinstated as a Scholar exclusive ability to address complaints of the job's lack of damage arsenal compared to other healers.
