Meltdown (メルトダウン, Merutodaun?) is a recurring ability in the series.

Final Fantasy IV: The After Years[edit | edit source]

Meltdown is an enemy skill that deals damage equal to the user's current HP to the entire party, but kills the user. It is used by powerful bosses including Omega and Armstrong. The Complete Collection adds in the Death Machine in Golbez's Challenge Dungeon, who can also use Meltdown.

Final Fantasy XI[edit | edit source]

Meltdown is an enemy ability that causes Self-Destruct, dealing magic damage to targets in an area of effect. It is used by the Doll family.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance[edit | edit source]

Self-KO. Deals area damage equal to own HP.

Description

Meltdown sacrifices the user to do Fire damage in an area equal to their HP. It is learned by Defenders for 200 AP from the Vajra.

Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift[edit | edit source]

Meltdown is a Defender ability that sacrifices the user to deal damage equal to their current HP to target. It is learned from the Vajra for 350 AP.

World of Final Fantasy[edit | edit source]

Meltdown is a passive ability that when hit while HP is 10% or less, causes one to self-destruct and harm allies. It can be used by Omega and Omega Bane.
