Medical Kit, formerly known as Vanward Potion, was a PvP-exclusive ability from Final Fantasy XIV that allowed players to restore their own health. Medical Kit was available by default to all characters.

Use

Medical Kit allows players to restore their own HP. Its base potency is comparable to most healing spells available in PvP, and becomes stronger as players lose HP. In addition, Medical Kit is a charge ability that can be used up to three times back-to-back, making it capable of quickly bringing players back from the brink of death. This potential burst healing is held in check by only one Kit recharging every 15s, and Medical Kit cannot substitute for a actual healer as a result.

Medical Kit is an instant cast off-global cooldown (oGCD) ability. This allows players to weave it between global cooldowns (GCD) after using instant cast weaponskills or spells.
