A support-type Cogna that looks just like a chocobo. It is rumored to be an actual chocobo that was "customized" by who-know-who. The Bionic Kweh Master in full effect.

Mecha Choco is an enemy in the World of Final Fantasy series, first appearing in World of Final Fantasy: Meli-Melo. It can be fought and imprismed in the Maxima version of World of Final Fantasy.

On the world map is a Murkrift behind the Crystal Tower that can only be accessed by airship. It houses a Mecha Chocobo Stack with a Mecha Chocobo and a Mecha Choco, as well as two regular Chocobos. After defeating or imprisming the Mecha Choco, two can be encountered at the Coliseum, in the "Cyber Bird" match.

Mecha Chocos are voiced by Maya Tuttle.

Etymology[]

"Mecha" is short for "mechanical". "Choco" is short for "chocobo".

The name "chocobo" derives from a Japanese brand of chocolate malt ball by Morinaga, ChocoBall (チョコボール, Chokobōru?). The mascot for this product is Kyoro-chan (キョロちゃん?), a bird who says "kweh".

食う / くう / kuu is a rough way to say "eat", whose volitional casual form is 食え / くえ / kue ("let's scoff 'em down!"), leading to Kweh!
