"Maybe I'm a Lion" is a track from Final Fantasy VIII that plays during the battle with Ultimecia's junctioned form with Griever. A fan favorite due in part to the power metal arrangement that was featured in the Black Mages' second album, The Black Mages II: The Skies Above, "Maybe I'm a Lion" has since become unofficially Squall Leonheart's theme. It was composed by Nobuo Uematsu
