The Manticore, also known as the MANTICOR, appears as an enemy encountered in the Flying Fortress and the northwestern regions of the world map, appearing in groups of up four. It can attack use its Poison Darts to inflict Poison on the entire party.

Etymology[]

The manticore is a Persian legendary creature similar to the Egyptian sphinx. It has the body of a lion, the head of a human, and the tail of a scorpion. The name means "man eater".
