The Malboro is an enemy from Final Fantasy II. Like their counterparts, Malboros are able to inflict status ailments with their base physical attacks, with the default variant having a chance to inflict Paralysis. Players should take caution and attempt to defeat Malboros as quickly as possible. In the Pixel Remaster release, Malboros initially had a 100% chance of inflicting Paralysis with their physical attacks, making them a more serious threat, but this was patched out.

Etymology[]
The name may be a reference to Marlboro Cigarettes, since the creatures often spew horrid fumes from their mouths.
