The Magician, also known as the Mage or Warlock, is an enemy from Final Fantasy II. A low key, magical enemy, its arsenal of spells is large and includes:
When defeated, a Magician may give up a variety of Tomes, most of which contain spells that the Magician itself knew.
The Magician appears as a chest guardian on the second floor of the Dreadnought, protecting a Sleep Blade, and on the fourth floor of the same dungeon, protecting an Ice Shield.

A warlock is a male practitioner of evil magic (distinguished from a wizard or sorcerer, whose magic may be benign).
