Oh, shut up and help me remodel the Magical (element) page!

Magical appears in a few games as an element in the Final Fantasy series. Usually, the spell Shell can reduce the damage received from magical attacks. The opposite of this element is Physical.
Appearances[]
Final Fantasy XIII[]

Magical abilities are prominent, and make up all of the Saboteur's, Synergist's, and Medic's repertoire, and roughly half of the basic commands used by Commandos and Ravagers.
Fog prevents the use of magical role abilities, and Shell increases resistance to magic, while Deshell makes targets more vulnerable to magical damage. Faith increases the power of magical attacks used by the target, and decreases with Defaith.
The player can protect against magic damage with accessories and passive effects, such as Magic Wall. Of the player's party, Vanille and Hope are highly suitable to be geared toward dealing magic damage (and also have magical full ATB skills), whereas Lightning and Sazh are good all-rounders, and Snow and Fang are more geared toward physical damage.
Final Fantasy XIII-2[]
Magical returns as an element, and the same mechanics in Final Fantasy XIII apply here.
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII[]
Etymology[]
Magic or sorcery is an attempt to understand, experience and influence the world using rituals, symbols, actions, gestures and language that are believed to exploit supernatural forces.
