Magic Urns can be found in the Cultists' Tower. Glutturns appear in the Soul Shrine in the Advance release. The original Magic Urn casts curative spells on the party and flees, and Glutturns demand rare items or else they attack the party. If the party is able to endure their attacks while refusing to give them the items they want, the Glutturns each have rare equipment pieces to be stolen.

In fact, they have a weakness to blunt damage such as that of Hand-to-Hand weapons and Staves. They are members of the Arcana family, and as such are hostile to players casting magic.

Magic Pots appear in parts of Castle Burtgang and of the Tower of Trials, and may appear in other locations as well. They are invulnerable to attacks and demand either a Hi-Potion, Ether, or Elixir upon being fought, fleeing if not quickly given the requested item. If given the requested item, they sometimes flee anyway, but sometimes defeat themselves and award the party 777 gil, 77,775 EXP, and either 7 or 77 AP. They carry Elixirs that can be stolen from them, although each steal attempt has a low chance of success.

Magic Pot's auto version can be obtained in the third stage of the Destiny Odyssey VII storyline, and its manual version can be obtained in the second stage of the Destiny Odyssey VII storyline. Magic Pot is a rare enemy that may appear in the Power-Up Dungeons. In material dungeons they will always drop a Rarity 5 or 6 orb appropriate to that dungeon; for instance, in Brimstone Caldera, where enemies drop Fire Orbs and Fire Crystals, the Magic Pot will drop either a Major Fire Orb or a Fire Crystal. In the other Power-Up Dungeons they will instead drop large amounts of gil, or reward experience along with a Growth Egg or Greater Growth Egg. Higher difficulty dungeons have better chances to spawn a Magic Pot.
  +
  +
Magic Pots also appear as special enemies in some special event dungeons, where the rewards they drop vary. For instance, the 30th Anniversary event includes a one-time dungeon where the player could fight a lone Magic Pot and earn 30 Mythril.

Dissidia Final Fantasy Summon Compendium

Magic Pot (マジックポット, Magikku Potto?), also known as Magic Urn and Magick Pot, is a recurring enemy in the Final Fantasy series, debuting in Final Fantasy V. They are usually immune to all magical and physical attacks. The most common way to defeat it is with the use of an Elixir, as Magic Pot is often invincible until the item is used on it. If not appeased, they are difficult if not impossible to defeat. Magic Pots often yield large rewards when defeated. Magic Pot has also rarely appeared as a summoned monster.

Appearances

Final Fantasy V

MagicPot-ffv-ios

Magic Pots are found in the Phoenix Tower. They demand Elixirs and reward the party with 100 AP when given enough.

An artwork (Magic Box FFV Art (unused)) of a similar monster hiding under a box rather than in a pot was made for the game, but was never used for an enemy design.

Final Fantasy VI

MagicurnFFVI

Magic Urns are found in the Cultists' Tower. Glutturns appear in the Soul Shrine in the Advance and subsequent releases. The original Magic Urn casts curative spells on the party and flees, and Glutturns demand rare items or else they attack. If the party endures their attacks while refusing to give them the items they want, the Glutturns each have rare equipment pieces to be stolen.

Final Fantasy VII

Magic Pot FF7

Magic Pot is an enemy in the Northern Cave. They are immune to damage until an Elixir is used on them, and give large amounts of gil and 1000 AP when defeated. The Master Tonberries fought in the same area yield Elixirs, thus making the spot an excellent grinding spot.

Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII-

Magic Pot.

Magic Pots appear as enemies and as a summon for the Digital Mind Wave's Chocobo Mode, and are found in several specific missions. When encountered, they will ask the player to use predetermined commands which differ depending on the mission.

For example, in mission 10-2-3 Magic Pot will ask for Jump, Fira, Gravity, and Assault Twister in that order. If obliged, the Magic Pot will be added to the DMW in Chocobo Mode. Repeating the task will grant the player rare items instead. In mission 7-6-6 following the Magic Pot's instructions will yield a Genji Shield.

As a DMW ability, Magic Pot gives Zack certain items depending on the ability level. Higher levels will give rarer items.

Level Obtainable Items
Level 1 Curaga Materia, Drain Materia, Graviga Materia, Libra Materia
Level 2 Iron Bangle, Titanium Bangle, Carbon Bangle, Platinum Bangle
Level 3 Kaiser Knuckles, Shinra Beta+, Royal Crown, Crystal Orb
Level 4 Elixir x5, Elixir x10, Phoenix Down x1, Phoenix Down x3
Level 5 Ribbon, Gold Rolling Pin x1, Gold Rolling Pin x3, Gold Rolling Pin x5

Final Fantasy X

Magic Urn.

Magic Urns are found at the Cavern of the Stolen Fayth. They cannot be killed (unless Zanmato is used), and the player must target one of the pot's seven eyes. Targeting the correct eye earns a rare item, but the more times the player targets the correct eye, the more difficult it is to do so subsequently. When the player attacks the wrong eye, the Magic Urn explodes and damages the party.

Final Fantasy X-2

Magic Urns can be seen during one of the Cactuar shooting games, where shooting them will yield items.

Final Fantasy XI

FF11Magic Pot

Magic Pots do not house the familiar impish creatures of the other series's titles, lack the Elixir gimmick, and show no unusual resistance to damage. In fact, they have a weakness to blunt damage, such as that of hand-to-hand weapons and staves. They are members of the Arcana family, and as such are hostile to players casting magic.

Final Fantasy XII

Magick Pot.

Magick Pots can be fought at the Subterra floors of the Pharos and on Stage 91 of the Trial Mode. They are almost invincible to damage, but if the player doesn't attack it, it asks for an Elixir. Once given one it becomes more vulnerable and will not attack, instead running around the area in a random pattern. The player can steal the Elixir back before killing it.

Final Fantasy XIV

Magic Pot XIV

Magic Pot in Ul'dah.

Gimme an elixir! No, that's not right... Gimme some candy! Yes, you heard me—I clamor for candy!

Magic Pot

A Magic Pot is a friendly NPC during the seasonal event All Saints' Wake. During the quest "Show Me the Candy", the player must travel to all three city-states to retrieve candy from various thespians while dressed in a ghost costume, then return to the Magic Pot.

Magic Pots also appear in the Crystal Tower during the battle against Thanatos. Each Alliance must protect one Magic Pot against hordes of Sandmen and Diras, and in return the Magic Pots will bestow the "Astral Realignment" status effect upon the Alliance members, allowing them to attack Thanatos. When under attack, the Magic Pots will shout out "Gimme a cure!"

A single Magic Pot can be found on one of the south-westernmost edges of the Isle of Umbra in Western La Noscea where it acts a vendor. The Player can purchase a Wind-Up Sun or Wind-Up Moon minion from this Magic Pot for an Elixir or a Hi-Elixir respectively.

Final Fantasy XV: Comrades

Magic Pots appear randomly in missions. Giving them an ingredient will cause the Magic Pot to gift meteorshards to the player. One of the documents the player can find is a research log written by Sania Yeagre, which recounts her encounter with a Magic Pot.

Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift

Magickpot-TA2

Giving the Magic Pot an Elixir makes it use an ability called Reward, in which it disappears and gives out loot.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time

Magic Pots attack by rolling on their sides and charging at the player(s).

Final Fantasy Dimensions

Magic Pot

Magic Pots appear in parts of Castle Burtgang and of the Tower of Trials, and may appear in other locations as well. They are invulnerable to attacks and demand either a Hi-Potion, Ether, or Elixir upon being fought, fleeing if not quickly given the requested item. If given the requested item, they sometimes flee anyway, but sometimes defeat themselves and award the party 777 gil, 77,775 EXP, and either 7 or 77 AP. They carry Elixirs that can be stolen from them, although each steal attempt has a low chance of success.

Dissidia Final Fantasy (2008)

DFFMagicPot2

The automatic version of Magic Pot.

MagicPotDissidia

The manual version of Magic Pot.

Magic Pot appears as a summon. In both auto and normal modes, it uses Mimic to equal the summoner's Bravery points with their opponent's.

Like most summons, Magic Pot can be summoned by two ways: automatically, which summons it immediately when the opponent's current Bravery is three times his Bravery base value, and shows its Final Fantasy X artwork; and manually, where an artwork of its Final Fantasy VII appearance appears. Magic Pot's auto version is obtained in the third stage of the Destiny Odyssey VII storyline, and its manual version is obtained in the second stage of the Destiny Odyssey VII storyline. If the summoner is affected by Break, they cannot copy the opponent's Bravery.

Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy

Magic Pot is a summonstone, with the same function as in the first Dissidia. His auto version is now found in Chapter Seven: Ally of Scenario 012. The manual version can be purchased from certain Moogle Shops for 40 KP.

Theatrhythm Magic Pot

"Gimme some elixir!" All you'll hear coming from this pot is that shameless demand. It never attacks, so it is hard to say if it is a friend or foe. Battle will gain you little, but granting its request will reap great rewards.

Magic Pot's CollectaCard

Magic Pots are very rare enemies, randomly appearing on high difficulty songs, but leave a large amount of Experience Points when defeated. If the player finds a Dark Note with a Magic Pot among the enemies, this provides a reliable way to level grind, as Dark Note enemies are always the same on subsequent attempts, providing a guaranteed encounter with the Magic Pot.

Final Fantasy Airborne Brigade

The Magic Pot.

Magic Pots are found in every quest location, but only while the player's brigade is engaged in battle with an enemy. It replaces Gate Crystal encounters, and it runs away when attacked, dropping an item for the player. A Magic Pot will drop either a Fey Drink, which increases the player's BP by one, or a Hero Drink, which doubles the contribution points the player's brigade earns for the next five minutes.

Description.
Magic Pot ATB

The Magic Pot appears as an enemy encountered on the Bridge of Moore. It uses Elixir Thirst and drops the Lamia Harp.

Final Fantasy Record Keeper

Magic Pots also appear as special enemies in some special event dungeons, where the rewards they drop vary. For instance, the 30th Anniversary event includes a one-time dungeon where the player could fight a lone Magic Pot and earn 30 Mythril.
