Magic Break is one of Steiner'sSword Arts. It costs 4 MP to use, and can be learned for 25 AP from the Flame Saber. It has a 50% accuracy rate, but can be used repeatedly to lower the targeted enemy's Magic Power by 25% per use.
Addle is a Technick that reduces an enemy's Magick Power. It can be performed repeatedly on the same enemy.
In the original version, Addle lowers Magick Power by 50%, has a charge time of 45, and a base accuracy of 66%. It can be purchased in Rabanastre and Archades for 3,500 gil, and licensed for 30 LP.
In the Zodiac versions, Addle lowers Magick Power by 30% plus 1, has a charge time of 35, and a base accuracy of 45%. Enemies with the Safety augment are no longer immune to its effects. Addle is found in a treasure in the Special Charter Shaft of the Henne Mines, and has a 10% chance of appearing. It requires 50 LP, and is learned by Foebreaker, Archer and Time Battlemage, although the Time Battlemage must acquire the license for Zeromus first. When Vossler joins as a guest, he can also use Addle. Thus, the player can get access to the technick early, and take on some hunts with Vossler to make use of it, such as the Rocktoise.
In Bravely Default, Skull Bash is the job level 11 ability for the Pirate It deals the same damage as a conventional attack to one target, and for four turns, lowers the target's magic attack by 25%. The lower limit for M.Atk is 75%. It costs 9 MP to use.
