Magic is a feature of Dirge of Cerberus -Final Fantasy VII-. The player can equip pendants to weapons, and one type of pendant available is Materia. If a Materia is equipped to a weapon then the player can cast a spell with the L1 on control or F on keyboard.

The three Materia are Fire Materia, Blizzard Materia, and Thunder Materia.

Although Materia cannot be leveled up, they have three levels of spell. With no rail mount equipped they use the level 1 spell, with Materia Floater they use the level 2 spell, and with Materia Floater γ they use the level 3 spell. The levels of spell improve the effectiveness of the spell in exchange for a higher MP cost.

Max MP is always 100. The BradyGames guide incorrectly lists the MP for Blizzard Lv1 as 17,[1] although this may simply be a typo.

Data regarding distance and area of effect are from the BradyGames guide.[1]
