Final Fantasy IX[]
The Madain's Ring is an add-on that provides +2 Spirit level up bonus, +2 Magic Defense, absorbs Ice-elemental damage, and teaches the abilities Body Temp, Guardian Mog, and Chemist. It can be dug from the mining minigame in Fossil Roo (doing so earns an achievement/trophy in the latest versions), found by using a Dead Pepper at the mountain crack on northeastern part of the Forgotten Continent while on Choco, bought at the Treno Auction House, and synthesized at Black Mage Village (before entering the Shimmering Island portal), Treno (after returning from the Outer Continent), Lindblum (after returning from the Outer Continent), Alexandria (after getting Blue Narciss), and Daguerreo. Making it requires 3,000 gil, a Bone Wrist, and a Stardust Rod. The ring itself is used in synthesis to make the Reflect and Rosetta Rings.
Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia[]

Etymology[]
Mada'in Saleh is an ancient city located in the north of Saudi Arabia said to have been cursed and destroyed by a cataclysmic earthquake as a punishment by Allah for the Thamudis' idol worship. The ring is named after the town of Madain Sari.
