MP Absorption is a recurring effect in the series. It allows the user to deal damage to one or all targets of their choosing and recover their own MP, either equal to the amount of damage dealt by the ability or a portion of the damage dealt. The effect is most commonly seen with the Black Magic spell Osmose and the abilities Lancet and Absorb MP.
