Oh, shut up and help me remodel the Lunafreya Nox Fleuret (Opera Omnia) page!
The Oracle burdened with the responsibility of purifying the world by virtue of her power to commune with the gods. Gallant and committed to her task, she has the respect of not only her countrymen but the world over. Despite their engagement being one of political expedience, she treasures the short time she spent with her betrothed, Noctis.
Description
Lunafreya is a playable character in Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia who can be recruited during Act 3, Chapter 9 of the main storyline.
Characteristics[]
Appearance[]
Lunafreya wears a long, white sleeveless dress with an elegant trumpet-cut shape, along a crescent-moon necklace. Her hair is styled in an updo with a double-braided crown.
In her alternate costume, Reminiscence Dress, she wears a long, flowy white dress with ruffles along the neckline and two strips of white, translucent cloth flaring at her sides. Her hair is worn down and over the shoulders.
Story[]
Act 3, Ch. 9, Pt. 1: Vanishing Scenery[]
The party stands aghast as Altissia has been summoned to the new world in its devastated state, triggering painful recollections for the delegation from Eos, who fought a brutal battle here at the price of the Oracle's life. Noctis catches a glimpse of his bride-to-be and is bewildered as to how she could have arrived here. As he and his crew discuss these happenings with the squad from SeeD, Squall surmises that only one person has the power to manipulate such strong memories. Surely enough, the gang finds Ultimecia with Luna in her grasp. Try as they might, the sorceress is far too powerful to strike down. Ultimecia then turns Luna on the party, forcing their retreat.
Diving deeper into Noct's tragedy, the party eventually discovers that Ultimecia is in fact sustaining her powers with stolen memories, including Luna's and all but Squall's and Rinoa's. Most of the party is completely unaware of the discrepancy, which leads to Squall and Rinoa in discussions with the party from Eorzea as to whether to tell their whole story.
Meanwhile, Seifer, unwilling to be a further pawn in Ultimecia's plans, suggests osing Rinoa as the bait for a pincer attack with the party split, to which Rinoa agrees as she is also a sorceress (though she kept it hidden for fear of being reviled by the rest of the group). Ultimecia, however, claims to have caught on to them and sends two Iguions to slow their pursuit. The ensuing skirmish loosens the sorceress's hold over the Oracle just enough for the latter to recognize and heal a wounded Noctis, though the remaining memories are still a jumble. Ultimecia returns to retake hold of Luna, but it is to no avail.
The party again confronts Ultimecia in an effort to recover their missing memory fragments, but this time is able to weaken her and pull Luna aside, restoring her memories in the process. Luna recovers in Rydia's care before joining the party for good.
Act 3, Ch. 9, Pt. 2: Sorceresses and SeeDs[]
Now restored, Luna provides reassurance as the party explores a recreated Ultimecia Castle and continues its pursuit of the memory-stealing magician. Determined in their goal, the party finds an open cache of the precious shards, only for the sorceress to materialize and snatch them--and Squall--away. Rinoa volunteers to take point in his stead. Try though she might, she is quickly overwhelmed, but nonetheless guides her friends to a final showdown with Ultimecia. Rinoa manifests her sorceress powers in direct combat, but is quickly stunned and injured by her rival. Luna and the others reassure Rinoa that she is a good sorceress and that they will stand behind her just as she protected them. Luna is among those to care for Rinoa as she recovers. Meanwhile, the rest of the party stares down a summoned Cerberus and eventually defeats it. Ultimecia is soon after struck down, releasing the captive memory fragments of the entire Final Fantasy VIII delegation.
Intersecting Wills: A Bouquet of Thoughts and Feelings[]
Luna, Noctis, and a few other warriors are chatting on the deck of the airship when they note the scent of flowers that have been freshly picked by Aerith. She offers flowers freely to them as a gift, prompting Luna and Edward to note how lovely and rare they seem, and to double-check as to if it is really okay to accept them. Noctis takes the opportunity to tell Luna that he made it back to Tenebrae to see the sylleblossoms, and how he wishes that she could have seen them with him. Aerith silently rues the reality that the couple never had the chance to experience them together. She strikes off on her own to try to find sylleblossoms for them. Not long after returning from travel alongside two of the Turks (Cissnei and Rude), Aerith presents the couple with a bouquet of sylleblossoms, which they accept with heartfelt delight.
