Official description
Luche Lazarus is a character in Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV and a member of the eponymous Kingsglaive. He considers himself the group's leader.
Profile[]
Appearance[]
Luche is a young man with slicked back brown hair and blue eyes. He wears the black uniform typical of his fellow Glaives and bears a pauldron during missions.
Personality[]
Luche proclaims himself the leader of the Glaives and acts as a second-in-command to Nyx Ulric when Titus Drautos goes missing. Luche's true nature is that of a traitorous, power-hungry individual with a resentment towards King Regis's decision to surrender the Lucian outlands to the empire.
Story[]
…the Kingsglaive is nothing. An old man's battle fodder sent to die in Insomnia's war while our homes are bound and shackled.
Luche Lazarus as he justifies his betrayal
Luche came to Insomnia as a refugee, and was admitted to the Kingsglaive. He guides his fellow Glaives as they fight Niflheim and Tenebrae's forces on the outskirts of Lucis. He reports to Titus Drautos after the enemy withdraws, and returns to Insomnia. He joins Crowe Altius, Libertus Ostium, Pelna Khara, and Nyx Ulric for a drink. As his comrades tease Nyx, Luche reveals Niflheim has sent an envoy to demand Lucis's surrender.
The next day, Luche watches the news with the rest of the Kingsglaive and hears a peace treaty is to be signed between Lucis and Niflheim. He sends out a text message to any Glaive he believes is willing to go rogue, and is sent on a mission to terminate Crowe. On the day of the treaty-signing, he infiltrates an imperial airship to help "rescue" Princess Lunafreya Nox Fleuret.
After the fall of Insomnia, Luche shoots Nyx in the city plaza. He reveals he murdered Crowe, and demands the Ring of the Lucii from Lunafreya. She reveals the ringbearer receives great power, prompting Luche to try it on. He is deemed unworthy by the past kings of Lucis and burned alive.
After the long night envelops the world, Luche's letter "Top Secret Orders" is found. It is addressed to his fellow Glaives, asking them to betray the crown for the injustice of Lucis abandoning Galahd.
