Lost actions are abilities in Final Fantasy XIV. They are a form of duty action that can only be used within Save the Queen areas, acting as successors to the Logos actions of The Forbidden Land, Eureka. Lost actions can grant players a variety of capabilities not normally available to their discipline to the point of drastically changing their gameplay role—a tank with the appropriate actions may act as the party healer for example, or vice versa.

Lost actions are obtained from forgotten fragments obtained throughout Save the Queen areas. Taking the fragments to a Resistance appraiser while at the required rank will transform them into lost actions, which are then stored in the lost finds cache. Players can then assign the actions to their lost finds holster. The holster has a limited capacity, with each action taking up a varying amount of space within it. Holster capacity can be increased gradually by raising one's Resistance rank, with an additional 10 capacity unlocked by the quest Let Me Holster That for You. Players can save up to 10 holsters at a time.
Players can equip multiple instances of a lost action provided they have the capacity. Item-related lost actions can be used directly from the holster or placed in the hotbar. Other lost actions must be set in one of two duty action slots available to players. Once set as a duty action they cannot be returned to the holster, and must be either used or discarded. However, any actions set as duty actions are immediately ready to use ignoring any previously invoked cooldowns, there are no restrictions from setting new duty actions in combat, and any status effects caused by a duty action will remain in place even if the action is discarded or the holster is changed. The combination of these factors allow players willing to discard actions to freely swap in new actions to apply several status effects, or to maintain a status effect longer than its duration and recast would normally allow.
