Pish! What about all those pelts and fangs from the monsters you've killed? You know, the loot, kupo? That's worth plenty of gil!
Wise Moogle
Loot are items dropped by enemies in Final Fantasy XII that can be sold at shops. Selling Loot is the main way of making gil. Depending on the items and quantities sold, the shop will put some special weapons, armor, and items for sale in the Bazaar.
There are two key items that influence the dropped loot: Monographs add the chance of obtaining special loot items from different types of enemies, (typically Pebbles), while the Canopic Jar adds the chance of enemies dropping Arcana or High Arcana.
Selling 1,000 pieces of loot unlocks Migelo's sprite in the Sky Pirate's Den and grants the player the title of Privateer. In The Zodiac Age, the player instead receives a trophy titled Privateer, or both the Sky Pirate's Den sprite and Trophy in later updates.
Not counting the eight sidequest specific loot (Bhujerban Madhu, Dewdrop Pebble, Great Serpentskin, Jaya Stick, Nebralim, Semclam Shell, Small Package, and Valeblossom Dew), the total number of other loot in the game is 222.
Battle Chain[]
A Battle Chain is built by killing enemies of the same type, e.g: from Wolf to Wolf or Hyena or Tartarus. At the lower right hand corner of the screen, a Chain Level will show the player their Chain Number. Battle Chains influence the dropped loot; the higher the Battle Chain Level, the higher the chance of rare drops.
The player must not confuse "Chain Level" with "Chain Number". The Chain Level is represented by the icon of the dropped loot. There are four levels to be exact; a "Small Bag" icon signifies the lowest Chain Level, and a "Huge Coin" icon signifies the highest. Higher Chain Numbers influence the chances to increase Chain Level, however, picking up loot early will decrease the chances. At Chain Level 2 or higher, picking up loot may restore HP or MP, and at Chain Level 3 or above, picking up loot may bestow Protect or Shell.
A Battle Chain is broken when the player touches a Gate or Save Crystal, walks into a settlement where the player controls only Vaan, or kills a different type of enemy. The player can kill another type of enemy and keep the chain intact by using the Break, Poison, or Countdown spells.

Final Fantasy Record Keeper[]
The Godslayer's Badge is a reward for defeating Yiazmat's record on its Strife difficulty (the second hardest) in the Transcendent Ruins, under "Cruelest Heretic". Rather than a crafting material like in its game of origin, it serves as a 6-star accessory that grants the wearer +1000 maximum HP - likely in reference to Yiazmat's overwhelming health pool of over 50 million in its original fight (as well as in its Transcendent-difficulty fight in the Ruins). The accessory's stat bonus is increased to +1500 maximum HP under Final Fantasy XII Record Synergy.
