Locke (Final Fantasy VI party member)

Locke is a playable character in Final Fantasy VI. Locke's job wasn't listed within the Super Nintendo version of the North American game. It was removed. Within the Final Fantasy III Nintendo Player's Guide, his job is given as Treasure Hunter. The English Gameboy Advance version retained the job titles and Locke is a Adventurer.

Locke has the traits of a Thief and his stats are well rounded, with strong physical stats but low magical stats. His best stats are speed and evasion. His Desperation Attack is Mirage Dive that deals magical damage to one enemy. He can equip several weapons and armor.

Having Locke in the party allows the party to unlock the locked doors in Narshe in the World of Ruin.

Recruitment

In the World of Balance, Locke is available at points in the story.

In the World of Ruin, Locke is recruited by reaching the end of the Phoenix Cave. Recruiting him here in the mobile/Steam version earns the More Than King achievement.

Abilities

Locke stealing.

Locke's unique ability is Steal, which allows him to attempt to steal an item from an enemy. Equipping Locke with the Brigand's Glove turns Steal into Mug, which allows Locke to attack an enemy while attempting to steal. Equipping Locke with a Genji Glove or the Master's Scroll allows him to attempt to steal multiple times in a turn. The Sneak Ring boosts the success rate of steal.

Being a thief, Locke has well rounded physical stats, high speed and evasion, good strength and decent defense, but low magic stats.
