The New Conflict

Unlike Y'shtola Rhul and Noctis Lucis Caelum, who are confirmed to have never participated in the old conflict, it is unknown if Locke was summoned to World B and then later dismissed from there sometime between the first and the eleventh cycles.

Shortly after Shinryu's defeat, the moogles give Locke a crystal to host his memories for Materia to use in the upcoming infinitely long war. With a crystal doppelgänger of himself to serve on Materia's behalf, Locke returns to his home world.

Gameplay

Locke's fighting style is nearly similar to Zidane Tribal in terms of using daggers, abilities and gameplay. He can also throw a round bladed boomerang to his opponent as part of his bravery attacks. He is the second character who wields dual daggers in battle after Rikku from her main appearance in Final Fantasy X-2.

Bravery Attacks:

  • Crossing Dagger - Locke will deal quick damage to his opponent in three hits even without stealth attacks.
  • Moonring Blade - Locke will throw a round-bladed boomerang to his opponent two times.
  • Slash Up - Locke deals a powerful rising slash in two hits and knocks the opponent into the ground.
  • Across Dagger - Locke's main attack that can deal powerful damage in three hits.
  • Pick Orbit - During mid-air, Locke can ensnare his opponent with his round-bladed boomerang in an orbit effect and he pulls into the enemy to make a quick strike.
  • Deadly Chase - Locke will dash and strike his opponent in two stabs.

HP attacks

  • Mirage Dive - Locke will multi-slash his opponent as the last blow deals an aerial strike dealing heavy damage.
  • Aerial Hunt - During mid-air, Locke will make a first strike to all his opponents in explosion, dealing more damage.
  • Phoenix Ray - During long range, Locke picks up a phoenix's feather that resemble a Phoenix Down to make a fiery explosion on all opponents.
  • Shred Spin - Locke does a spinning heavy slash on his opponent in two hits.
  • Type: Assassin - When Locke attacks foes not targeting him, he deals extra damage and his EX skill Steal becomes Mug.
  • EX Skill:
    • Steal - Take an item - usually one that recovers HP or bravery - to use at will. The items are revealed on his list that he had stolen such as both Potions and Ethers which he uses this to restore a small amount of HP or Bravery.
    • Mug - Take a piece of equipment that can be used to unleash a powerful attack. Most of the items he had mugged are Master Scroll, Soul of Thamasa and Brigand's Glove which he uses this to increase his attack damage, dealing magic damage and to buff himself to attack his opponents.
