Loashkana is a non-playable character in Final Fantasy XIV. She appears during the Healer role quests in the Dawntrail expansion.
History[]
Before Dawntrail[]

Loashkana in her village.
Born in the northern valleys of Xak Tural, Loashkana grew up in a community of hunters where children learned to wield spears before they could walk. The treacherous surroundings, filled with poisonous plants and creatures, demanded early training, and the use of the Heartsting was vital for her people's survival. As the oldest sibling, Loashkana took on the responsibility of caring for her younger brothers and sisters, always striving to ensure their safety and well-being.[1]
When the Heartsting was stolen from his village by the Passage of the Unbound, Nyipine and Loashkana, the village elder's daughter, traveled to Tuliyollal to recover the treasure. They were ambushed by the thieves and Nyipine had her foot severely injured by a mammet. Loashkana insisted that Nyipine remain in Tural to recover while she continued the mission alone. After hearing incidents of blindness during in Limsa Lominsa, Loashkana boarded a merchant ship captained by Bhaldbryda and made her journey to Eorzea.[2]
Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail[]
Just as Loashkana was beginning her search, the Warrior of Light found her saying that Nyipine had sent them to replace him. As Loashkana and the Warrior of Light investigated, they uncovered that tainted fruit in the market was causing sudden blindness, with no clear source. A Yellowjacket patrolwoman guided them to the site of a new incident, where they found a paralyzed man who had been tricked into eating cursed fruit. After the Warrior of Light healed him with Esuna, he recounted hearing a woman's laughter and a mention of the Heartsting before collapsing. Loashkana, though relieved to have confirmed the thieves' presence in Limsa Lominsa, was troubled by how quickly they had mastered the Heartsting's powers, now capable of inducing paralysis. She resolved to continue gathering information with the Yellowjackets.[2]

Loashkana's investigation into the Heartsting seemed at a dead end until a Yellowjacket reported seeing the thieves heading toward Aleport. With renewed hope, she urged to Warrior of Light to follow her there. In Aleport, a local merchant confirmed that the suspects had sold potions to two adventurers, and fearing they might be poisoned, Loashkana rushed to Swiftperch. Upon arrival, the Warrior of Light saved the adventurers, Wyssulm and Zerig, from an attack, curing Zerig's hiccuping ailment with Esuna. However, the thieves, Ellerete and Kokonowa, made a dramatic appearance, revealing that the Heartsting's toxins had been part of their twisted games. Though Loashkana's anger flared, she decided to regroup in Limsa Lominsa, more determined than ever to recover the Heartsting.[3]
Loashkana, frustrated by the lack of leads on Ellerete and Kokonowa, suspected the criminals were exploiting her unfamiliarity with Vylbrand and proposed searching Moraby Drydocks. Upon arriving, a shipwright requested their help in finding his missing brother. After reuniting the brothers, Loashkana inquired about the Unbound, but no new information surfaced. Upon returning to Limsa Lominsa, Wyssulm and Zerig offered their support for the ongoing hunt.[1]
Later, Wyssulm and Zerig had spotted Ellerete and Kokonowa in Upper La Noscea near Bronze Lake. Soon after, the two were discovered and ambushed by Kokonowa's mammets and forced to flee to Aleport. With this information, Loashkana and the Warrior of Light hurried to Camp Bronze Lake, where they found Ellerete had poisoned the springs with hallucinatory toxins, affecting the bathers. Ellerete, herself suffering from the toxins, retreated with Kokonowa, leaving behind chaos. After healing the victims, Loashkana noted Kokonowa's immunity to the poison, linking it to the Dunesfolk tradition of ingesting small amounts of toxins for resistance.[4]
Loashkana expressed confidence in her new theory about Ellerete and Kokonowa's whereabouts, suspecting that they had moved to eastern La Noscea. After discovering that Ellerete had already caused chaos in Costa del Sol with a poisoned bottle of wine, Loashkana decided to investigate Raincatcher Gully for any signs of their activity. During their search, they encountered several mammets, one of which held crucial notes detailing Vylbrand's waterways. Loashkana and the Warrior of Light were ambushed by Kokonowa and Ellerete, who vowed to play her final trick on Vylbrand before escaping.[5]
Loashkana received urgent news from Costa del Sol that Ellerete and Kokonowa had infiltrated Brayflox's Longstop with the intention of poisoning Vylbrand's main water source. The Warrior of Light and Loashkana rushed to Raincatcher Gully, where Brayflox Alltalks confirmed their plan. The Warrior of Light and Loashkana hastened to confront them, battling through mammets and facing the two miscreants in the heart of the Longstop. After a fierce fight, the Heartsting was reclaimed, and Ellerete and Kokonowa were accidentally blasted away by a gobbiebomb.[6]
With the Heartsting secured, Loashkana expressed her gratitude and bid farewell to Brayflox, Wyssulm, and Zerig before preparing to return to Tural. She reflected on the dangers of the Heartsting's power and discussed with Nyipine how her people might develop new poison resistance strategies. Though her time in Eorzea was ending, Loashkana thanked you for your support and looked forward to future reunions with her friends.[6]
