The Living Woods are a location in Final Fantasy III. It is the resting place of the Elder Tree, the mother of all trees and forests. Fairies also reside here and can be found where the Elder Tree (長老の木, Chōrō no Ki?) stands.
Story[]
During the storyline, the wizard Hein steals and bewitches the Elder Tree, transforming it into his floating castle. After the Warriors of the Light defeat Hein at his castle, the Elder Tree floats back to its forest, granting the Fang of Wind to the party. After restoring the Elder Tree, the Living Woods are no longer accessible to the Warriors.
