I couldn't finish 'em. Looks like this's gonna get complicated.
Liquid Flame is a boss in Final Fantasy V. Appearing in the Fire-Powered Ship, the Liquid Flame tries to stop the party from reaching the Fire Crystal. The Liquid Flame can be fought again in the Phoenix Tower, this time with higher stats. In the Finest Fantasy for Advance and the discontinued 2013 Matrix Software versions, it is also fought in the Cloister of the Dead of the Sealed Temple bonus dungeon.

Battle[]
The Liquid Flame will constantly change form. The human form will mostly focus on offense, the hand form will focus on defense, while the tornado form will focus on healing itself with Fira.
When damaged, the human form will counter with Blaze, the hand form will counter with Fira, and the tornado form will counter with Magnet. It will then change form. The hand form is immune to ice, but the others are weak to it.
The form in the Phoenix Tower can be slain later by the party's Necromancer to obtain the Dark Art Meltdown.
Strategy[]
Having high level ice magic will help: Black Mages casting Blizzara and the Mystic Knight should charge up Blizzara Sword. If the player has her, Shiva will also prove useful. The player can break some Ice Rods, as they should deal a lot of damage. When Liquid Flame switches to tornado form, the player should fully heal the party since it will not attack, and wait for it to exhaust its MP.
Liquid Flame will not change forms if it takes damage while confused.

The Liquid Flame appears as a boss in several Final Fantasy V dungeons, as well as a boss fought in the Ultima Nightmare Dungeon. Across its various forms the Liquid Flame fights much as in its base game, shifting between its three forms and varying its elemental affinities and attack patterns among them.
A unique variant of the Liquid Flame is fought as a boss in the Fire Magicite Dungeon.
