Inflicts one enemy with mini status.
Description
Lilliputian Lyric, also known as Little Song, is a Blue Magic spell in Final Fantasy V. It inflicts mini on a target, but cannot cure it. It ignores reflect.
Obtained[]
The earliest Lilliputian Lyric can be obtained is from Mini Magician in the Great Forest of Moore. It can later be obtained from Gilgamesh (#284), Cherie, Farfarello, Azulmagia, Vilia, and Mykale. Vilia and Mykale do not use the ability normally, meaning Control is needed.
Use[]
The mini effect cripples enemies and can greatly weaken their damage.
Compared to the White Magic spell Mini, Lilliputian Lyric is weaker and less turn-efficient. This is because, while it has the same MP cost, Mini can be group-cast, whereas Lilliputian Lyric can only be cast on one target. Mini will also cure allies of the effect, while Lilliputian Lyric cannot. Therefore, the only reason to use Lilliputian Lyric, assuming the player has access to the White Magic skillset, is to get around reflect, which Lilliputian Lyric ignores.
