Lightning is an element in Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII-. It is one of three basic elements, alongside fire and ice. The player can use various lightning-elemental physical attacks via command materia and spells via magic materia, as well as attach the element to Zack's normal attacks with Elemental Strike and accessories. Lightning has a fourth tier spell that fire and ice lineages of spells lack: Electrocute. The player can protect against lightning damage with materia setups and accessories.
