Description
Light Curtain, also known as Light Barrier in the BradyGames guide, is a battle item item in Final Fantasy VII that casts Barrier on all allies. Barrier halves physical damage taken. Its duration is indicated by a depleting gauge in the battle menu. The effect runs faster under Haste, and is slowed down by Slow and halted by Stop.

Etymology[]
The name "Light Curtain" refers to the sun, as seen in the item illustration in guide books. It is opposed to Lunar Curtain, which depicts a moon. Sun and moon are the opposites in yin and yang philosophy.
