Battle[]
The Levrikon's physical attacks pose only a minor threat. Valuable Ethers can be stolen from it, and it can be defeated with Matra Magic. Its Flaming Peck attack has a fairly low chance of inflicting the Fury status. The Fury status decreases the likelihood of affected characters' physical and magical attacks hitting by 30%, and doubles the acquisition rate of Limit Breaks.
The Levrikon has a counterpart in this respect in the Grasslands Area, the Elfadunk, whose attacks have a much higher chance of affecting characters with Sadness.
When two Levrikons appear alongside a Chocobo, the Chocobo will be a Lv16 Chocobo, and thus suitable for learning the Chocobuckle E.Skill.

Etymology[]
Levrikon is an acceptable localization of the katakana given no context. Ls and Rs are not distinguished in Japanese, and Bs often represent V sounds. In this case the katakana itself is incorrect, using ブ (bu?) instead of プ (pu?). The name is intended to be Replicon, as correctly written and translated in the enemy's appearance in Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII-.
replicon is a DNA molecule or RNA molecule, or a region of DNA or RNA, that replicates from a single origin of replication.
