A Gestahlian general who refused Magitek infusions and climbed the ranks with his own resourcefulness. He despises contemptible conduct and as such is constantly at odds with Kefka. He has great regard for human life, whether it be friend or foe, his noble nature even acknowledged by enemy nations.

Description

Leo is a playable character in Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia who can be recruited during Act 2, Chapter 8 of the main storyline.

Profile[]

Appearance[]

General Leo wears a green outfit with a high-collared lighter green and yellow tailcoat.

Personality[]

Leo posseses all of his personality as in his home world. For the short period of time where he felt he had no 'loyalty' leaves him lost on his continuation of the life he is given. He is very formal while prefering less of informal nicknames such as "Little Leo" by Gilgamesh.

After joining the party, he acts as a more parental figure, helping Class Zero cope with their recovered memories.

Story[]

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow. (Skip section)

Leo is summoned to the world by Spiritus and informed of everything that has happened since he died, including the events of his own world, then sent on a mission to keep Spiritus's more willful warriors in check. Leo is left reeling from learning about the loss of his home, and while he attempts to process everything he is found by Gilgamesh, who acts as a neutral voice of reason while Leo sorts through his conflicting emotions. Leo eventually decides to join the party both because their goals align with his mission and because he still wants to protect the people of his world even if his country is lost.

Spoilers end here.

Allusions[]

  • In Leo's Finish Burst, it references the battle in Thamasa. Leo evades a cast of Firaga while Kefka appears. However, the laugh Kefka initiates is distorted, signifying the illusion Leo fought. The smoke that clears after Leo's dodge references the smoke after Kefka dismisses his illusions.
  • Leo's Force Partner is Steiner while he himself is the Partner for Rubicante.
    • In the case of Steiner, both are chivalrous swordsmen serving under their tyrranical rulers. Both Steiner and Leo learn and understand where their loyalties lie: Garnet and Beatrix for Steiner, the people of his home world for Leo.
    • In the case of Rubicante, both are high esteemed members under an antagonistic party who are faced in the story. They both prefer their fights to be fair without resorting to dirty tactics. When he is faced in his home world, Rubicante would restore the party's health fully before fighting; he would do the same to recover an injured Leo before their attacks.
