Story

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow. (Skip section)

When Lenna arrives, she immediately tries to help a dragon that has been poisoned in battle with another monster. The dragon, maddened by pain, strikes her down and continues its rampage. Faris is the first person to spot her when the party enters the area. She, Galuf, and the others are unable to rouse Lenna and take her to a safer place to treat her injuries.

After Lenna is revived, Bartz is relieved that she still remembers who they are (as amnesia had been revealed as a possible side-effect of the Torsions). Lenna's first concern is for the dragon, which was crying out for help, and she insists that Faris not blame it for injuring her. Still, she thanks everyone for helping her, and Cecil is impressed that Lenna's first concern was still for the dragon in spite of what happened.

When Terra returns from scouting, her information makes it clear that it is too late to save the dragon, and Lenna reluctantly agrees that the best thing they can do is kill it to end its suffering. After they defeat it, Lenna quietly enlists Vivi and Eiko to dig a grave for the dragon, which they cover in flower seeds. Yuna assures her that the dragon must be grateful for the kindness, and the party affirms their resolve to solve the problem of the Torsions so that such tragedies don't happen in future. Lenna, Bartz, and Galuf decide that they will return to the grave when the flowers have bloomed so that they can pay their respects.
