Template:IncompleteTable Template:FFV Enemies Lemure is an enemy in Final Fantasy V. She frequently appears with Cherie and Parthenope, a dangerous combination due to their combined penchant for status-afflicting attacks.
Lemure is able to use Embrace (which will Petrify a target), Spore (which causes Poison), while the Blue Magic spell Pond's Chorus changes a party member into a Toad.
It is worth noting that Ribbons may be stolen from Lemures on rare occassion.
Etymology
The name Lemure comes from Roman mythology, lemures (singular: lemur), which are shades or spirits of the restless or malignant dead. Lemures may represent the wandering and vengeful spirits of those not afforded proper burial, funeral rites or affectionate cult by the living: they are not attested by tomb or votive inscriptions.
Trivia
- Aerith Gainsborough from Compilation of Final Fantasy VII has a strange resemblance to Lemure, both being flower girls with similar clothes and hairstyles. It also holds the Ribbon item, a signature part of Aerith's outfit.
