A confident and free-spirited Clavat who is always there when you need him. As a Crystal Bearer with a crystal shard embedded in his right cheek, he can telekinetically control gravity and move objects at will. With an addiction to trouble, he soon finds himself caught up in a battle over crystals.
Description
Layle is a playable character in Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia who can be recruited during Chapter 7 of the main storyline.
Characteristics[]
Appearance[]
Layle wears a yellow shirt under a high-collared puffy white jacket with chainmail on the shoulders closed with a large gold clasp. He wears long jean pants with a thin gold belt and blue and white shoes. He has a yellow messenger bag on his right shoulder. He wears goggles around his neck and rings on his right hand. He has a crystal shard embedded in his right cheek.
His alternate costume, Waltz Tuxedo, is a tuxedo worn at the Tribal Unity Ball in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers.
Personality[]
Story[]
Act 1, Ch. 7: Imber Manor[]
Layle introduces himself as a member of the Returners. Upon meeting Mog, Layle grabs him with his telekinetic abilities to examine him, much to Mog's chagrin. He warns the party that Mog is not to be trusted, and that taking his instructions at face value will only lead to trouble. Layle also identifies the leader of the Returners as Edgar (much to Terra's surprise and irritation, as Shadow had been part of the group for some time but kept this fact from her).
Lost Chapter: The Power of Valor[]
When Materia summons Cater to the world of light, the warriors encounter her in an abandoned palace as she repels a wave of enemies. Rem and King brief her on her purpose in this world, and in her impulsive excitedness she sprints off by herself in search of torsions. Layle and a few other warriors catch up to her. Surprised by their concern, Cater reassures that she can take care of herself. Layle cautions her that people with that mindset tend to be the ones finding themselves in the most trouble. The group convinces Cater to fall back and join the warriors of light as they move together to close the torsion. As the warriors move forward with their new ally, Layle ponders how they have gotten a knack for their new roles in the world of light.
Lost Chapter: Inheriting the Past[]
The warriors of light chance upon a meadow filled with flowers shortly after meeting Aerith. Raijin and Eiko excitedly go to gather as many as they can hold as Aerith reminds them not to trample the flowers. While they are distracted, a wolf attacks Aerith. Layle and Vaan intervene and save her.
Seifer approaches them before derisively telling off Layle and Vaan for needing two people to protect a lady against a mere wolf. His abrasive demeanor nearly drives Vaan to fight Seifer, but Aerith diffuses the tension after quietly asking them not to trample any of the flowers. As the tone of the conversation turns against him, Seifer leaves fuming. Vaan is annoyed at Seifer's conduct, but Aerith stands up for him, saying that he was kind to have thought of her well-being. Layle agrees but thinks she is being far too generous about his behavior.
