Last Stand (背水の陣, Haisuinojin?), also known as Cornered Beast, is a recurring ability in the Final Fantasy series. It is an ability used primarily by Eight.

Appearances[]

Final Fantasy Type-0[]

Last Stand is an ability for Eight that requires 3 AP and is available after learning Flinchproof Fist. Eight receives Haste and Aura, but is inflicted with Killsight.

Last Stand: AG ↓ requires 5 AP and is available after learning Last Stand. It reduces the AG cost of Last Stand.

Final Fantasy Brave Exvius[]

Last Stand increases Defense and Spirit by 20% when below 30% HP. It is learned by Galuf, Bartz, Dark Knight Cecil, Delita, Xiao, and Jake. Eight can gain it via his exclusive materia, Lightspeed Jab. It can also be equipped via Golem or Carbuncle after upgrading them to 2*.

Last Stand is a passive ability that prevents HP from dropping to 0 once per battle. It can be used by Behemonster, Bomb, Magic Pot, and Magna Roader (Yellow).

Cornered Beast is a passive ability that raises evasion chance, critical chance and Accuracy when HP is low. It can be used by Behemonster, Reynn (Celes's Champion Jewel).
