The Larva is an enemy from Final Fantasy III, fought in the Sealed Cave and Mythril Mines. They are not difficult to defeat, but can be a nuisance as they are the earliest enemies that can inflict Blind to party members. It is advised to stock up on Eye Drops prior to visiting the areas that they dwell in. Physical attacks are enough to defeat them. Like their stronger relatives encountered later and the foes within the Sealed Cave, not counting the boss, Larvae are undead. For this reason, healing magic such as Cure-type spells and Holy or restorative items like Potions deal damage, and they are weak to Fire-type spells. Raise and Phoenix Downs instantly knock them out.
