SeeqLanista

Long years of fighting in the arena have honed the skills of these swordsmen to perfection. They call their closely guarded techniques "Astutia".

Description

The Lanista is a Job in Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift. It is a Job exclusive to the Seeq, and specializes in various skills, such as support, absorption, and dealing heavy damage at their own expense, the last similar to a Dark Knight.

Requirements

  • To Unlock: Complete A Lanista's Pride, which appears after the story mission A Request
  • To Use: Master 1 Berserker A-Ability

Etymology

"Lanista" is related to the Etruscan word meaning "executioner". The Lanista's skillset, "Astutia", means "the quality of being astute". Also, historically, a lanista was a trainer or manager of a team of gladiators.
