Lady Laniaitte de Haillenarte is a non-playable character in Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward. She is a daughter of Count Baurendouin, and sister to Francel and Stephanivien.

History

Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward

Laniaitte commands the Rose Knights stationed at Camp Cloudtop, an outpost in the floating islands of the Sea of Clouds. She is first met when the Warrior of Light is tasked with aiding Emmanellain's duty of assisting House Haillenarte, Knowing Emmanellain, her first order is to have the Warrior of Light ensure he won't become a liability, while adventurer then handles the actual work for the Rose Knights.

She expresses gratitude for when the adventurer and Haurchefant cleared her brother Francel of the accusations of heresy. During the tasks offered, she explains about the unusual environment, the troubles with Vanu Vanu, and admits that since Camp Cloudtop is on the opposite side of the Dragonsong War, this post is often seen as a dead end for knights (due to minimal risk of dragon attack). However, the camp would see more action than expected after the appearance of Bismarck, the primal of the Vanu Vanu. Though the Warrior and Haurchefant couldn't slay the primal, the nonetheless saved Emmanellain and other knights taken captive by the beast tribe. Lianiatte would commend the Warrior and Haurchefant for saving her knights while brushing off Emmanellain's meek attempts to embellish his role in the affair.

Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood

Laniaitte attends a ball in Ul'dah along with Emmanellain and Honoroit. She is wearing a red bustle, and is uncomfortable both in the clothes and with the prospect of having the dance at the ball. The three of them are witnessed by the Warrior of Light, alongside Keimei and his Daitenya Companion.

Characteristics

Appearance

Laniaitte is an Ishgardian elezen with red hair and blue eyes. She wears chainmail armor, and wields an adamantite winglet sword in battle, and a shield with her houses sigil on it.

Personality

Unlike her more eccentric brothers, Laniaiatte is serious and combat-focused, much preferring the work of the Rose Knights over more leisurely activities. She doesn't like to dress extravagantly nor does she appear to care much for romance as she deflects Emmanellain's constant attempts at courtship or, at the very least, she has no romantic interest in Emmanellain and finds his advances irritating.

Laniaiatte has shown to deeply care for her family, as she was deeply relieved that her brother Francel was saved from the false inquisitor Guillaime by the Warrior of Light. As a result, she quickly developed a respect for the Warrior, even declaring that she was indebted to them for saving her brother's life and clearing his name.

Gameplay

Triple Triad

Laniaitte is a NPC available for Triple Triad matches added in patch 3.1. She is located at the Sea of Clouds (17.0, 37.3). To challenge her the player needs to complete the sidequest Honoring the Past.

The match fee is 30 MGP with a reward of 110 MGP for winning. She uses the Match Rules Same and Plus. The possible rewards for defeating her are Paissa Card and Dhalmel Card.
