The Land Turtle (ランドタートル, Randotātoru?), also known as LandTurtle, Turtle, Spiketoise, or Great Tortoise, is a recurring creature in the Final Fantasy series, first appearing in Final Fantasy II.

Final Fantasy II[]
The Land Turtle, also known as the Spiketoise, appears as a monster-in-a-box in Semitt Falls, guarding a Teleport Tome. It later appears as a random encounter in Deist, Fynn, and Dreadnought regions, and in Kashuan. It has high resistance to physical attacks and is weak to ice.
Final Fantasy III[]
The Land Turtle appears as a boss encountered in Altar Cave. It is fought only by Luneth in the 3D remake, but is fought by the full party in the 2D versions.
Final Fantasy V[]
The Land Turtle, also known as the LandTurtle, appears as an enemy encountered in the Moore region. It is weak to ice and can only use physical attacks. It will always drop a Turtle Shell.
Final Fantasy XII[]
The Great Tortoise appears as an enemy encountered in the Giza Plains during rainy weather.
