Kusariqqu is an enemy in Final Fantasy X encountered in the Thunder Plains.
Stats[]
Battle[]
Kusariqqu is an armored foe that uses two attacks: a head bash that can cause Slow and a Thunder Breath attack that strikes the entire party with Lightning damage.
Kusariqqu will drop armor with Slow Ward and HP +5%. It will drop weapons with any of the elemental strikes as well as Distill Power (Strength +3%/Magic +3% in the original JP/NA version).
Strategy[]
Like others of its kind, Kusariqqu has a tough hide, so Auron's or Kimahri's Piercing weapons work the best. With a Waterstrike weapon, they may even achieve Overkill.
Kusariqqu's breath can be quite powerful. To protect against it, the player could equip party members with armor with Lightning Ward, SOS NulShock or Lightningproof (this would also protect against many other enemies in the Thunder Plains).
Ixion is immune to its Slow and Thunder Breath, and as an aeon has native Piercing in his attacks.
