Etymology
Kunai are a Japanese bladed weapon associated with ninja and likely derived from the equivalent of a gardening trowel. They are short, leaf-shaped blades with ring pommels that provide a multitude of uses, such as a grip or tying them to the body. As weapons, they were primarily used for melee combat and to dig holes in walls and floors, but can also be used as throwing weapons.
