A beautiful and cruel angel of death who sought to destroy the world of Gaia from the inside out. Whispering in the ear of Alexandria's Queen Brahne, he convinces her of the advantage of using summons and artificial black mages, created from the Mist, to achieve her goals. In doing so, he achieves his own goal: a war that spreads across every corner of the continent. Kuja possesses an androgynous beauty, an unforgiving pride and sadistic disdain for others. His flair for dramatic speeches reveals his narcissistic tendencies as well. He looks down on all other creatures, including Queen Brahne and the black mages he creates, as no more than pawns in his game.

Depending on his rarity, Kuja has two (3★), three (4★) or four (5-6★) ability slots. He also has affinity to the three types of magic: White (Lvl 5-8), Black (Lvl 6-8) and Green Magic (Lvl 3-6).
- Ability Awakening
Kuja has three traits that can be enhanced: Barthundara, Thundara, and Flare Star.
- Limit Burst
Kuja's Limit Burst receives three different names, depending on his rarity: Flare Star, Reaper's Dirge, and Neutron Ring. A damage type ability, it is a 1-hit attack that deals magic damage to all enemies. How much damage he inflicts depends on his rarity.
