Krysta is a Triple Triad card in Final Fantasy VIII used to play the minigame and for turning into items with Quezacotl's Card Mod. Krysta is the sixty-sixth card in the inventory and the last Level 6 card. It depicts Krysta, a boss in the final dungeon fought to unlock a seal on the party's abilities. Krysta is a great card to farm for card modding in the early game.
Krysta has middling values, but its value placements may be useful for games that use Same and/or Plus.
Obtain[]
There is a 6.3% chance to get an Krysta card when successfully using the Card command on a Bomb or Buel. Both of these enemies are fought inside Fire Cavern.
Any AI Triple Triad player who uses Level 6 cards has a chance of using Krysta in a play, from where the player can win it in a card match. Examples of players are prisoner in D-District Prison, CC Heart of the Card Club, Grease Monkey in Fishermans Horizon, Cid Kramer, and Laguna Loire. In the end of the game, all CC members besides CC Diamond play with Level 6 cards when aboard the Ragnarok if the player completed the CC quest before the point of no return.
Card Mod[]
A Krysta card refines into 10 Holy Stones with Quezacotl's Card Mod ability. Holy Stones can then be further refined into Holy spells. This makes Krysta a great card to collect, as the player can get a top tier spell in the early game, as the player only needs Siren's Life Magic Refiner to make the spell.
Physical version[]
