Kumiko Koda (known by her stage name of Kumi Koda or Koda Kumi (倖田 來未, Kōda Kumi?)), born on November 13th, 1982, is a famous Japanese Pop singer. She placed second in Avex's "Dream Audition" competition which lead to her being signed to the Rhythm Zone label, a subsidiary of Avex. She debuted with the single TAKE BACK. Following a variety of flops, she was almost dropped by her label, until she started to gain progress with her releases. Currently, she is one of the biggest solo female singers in Japan, and has an international following.

She is known among Final Fantasy fans for her songs, "Real Emotion" and "1000 no Kotoba" from Final Fantasy X-2, which featured on her single "Real Emotion/1000 no Kotoba", her album Grow into One and Best ~first things~. Kumi also voiced Lenne in the game's Japanese version.
