Description
The Knight is an Advanced Job in Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin, and is available after unlocking the corresponding nodes in the Swordfighter and Swordsman Job Trees. In addition, it is available to Neon after clearing the "Memories of Wind" main mission. Leveling this job is required unlock the Paladin and Void Knight expert jobs. Knight is a purely defensive job that focuses on enhancing its Guard and serving as a tank that can reflect damage back onto enemies. This job makes use of its defense with passives such as decreased damage dealt, HP recovery when parrying, and decreased damage taken the closer the player is to max HP.

Job Action[]
The Knight's Job Action is Blessing of Light, a temporary buff that causes any successful guard to shoot a Holy-elemental shockwave back at an enemy. This ability rewards those with aggressive playstyles who have mastered the fundamentals of guarding and parrying as this job gives a Regen effect upon parrying, and decreases general damage taken, especially when at max HP.

Knight is able to equip the sword, shield and greatsword and take advantage of their defensive arsenals, with skills such as Enhanced Guard and Shield Bash now being harnessed offensively through combo ability effects that stagger enemies and restores HP based on damage dealt.

The Knight gives a large stat bonus to Stamina, providing the character with a larger HP pool and helping them survive more enemy attacks.

Most weapons and items of clothing have a certain percentage of Job Affinity for a certain job. Etymology[]
knight is a mounted soldier in armor who served his sovereign or lord in the Middle Ages. The word comes from Old English cniht ("boy" or "servant"), a cognate of the German word Knecht ("servant, bondsman, vassal").
