The Kage is an enemy from Final Fantasy III. It is not a difficult enemy to defeat in the NES version, but is more difficult in the DS version due to being able to inflict both Poison and Blind with its physical attacks, and attacking in groups of 2, 3, or 4. Physical attacks are more than enough in dispatching them.

Etymology

"Kage" is the Japanese word for "shadow".
