Jupiter's Staff in Final Fantasy Record Keeper.

Jupiter's Staff (ジュピタースタッフ, Jupitā Sutaffu?) is a recurring weapon in the series. Initially appearing as a powerful weapon in Final Fantasy XI, it has since become a weapon tied to Shantotto.

Final Fantasy XI[]

Jupiter's Staff is the high-quality synthesis result of the Thunder Staff. It is a staff that is equippable at level 51 by all jobs. It has a damage of 35 and a weapon delay of 356. It improves DEX by +5, water resistance by +20, and critical hit rate by +15%. When swung in melee, it has an additional effect of dealing lightning damage to the target. However, it has hidden effects: +15% magic damage and +30 magic accuracy to thunder effects, -3 MP/tick to the perpetuation cost of Ramuh and Thunder Spirit, and an equal and opposite penalty to water elemental effects and summons.

For years, the high-quality versions of the eight elemental staves were the best staves, and owning all eight was a career goal of every mage. Because during this era, each of the six main elemental black magics had its own strength relative to the others, and thunder was the strongest, Jupiter's Staff was one of the two strongest magic attack staves. Shantotto's association with this weapon is likely a result of this, as well as the fact that Shantotto tends to use "off-the-rack" equipment accessible to players instead of some special gear unique to her.
