Jinx (バッドタイム, Baddo Taimu?, lit. Bad Time) or (不幸, Fukō?, lit. Misfortune) is a recurring ability in the Final Fantasy series. Its effects vary per game.
Appearances[]
Final Fantasy X[]
Jinx is a Special ability found on Kimahri's section of the Sphere Grid. It costs no MP to use.
It claims to lower the targets' Luck stat at once, but does not give the full impact of a reduced Luck. The effect can stack up to five times.

Description

Etymology[]
jinx, in popular superstition and folklore, is a type of curse placed on a person that makes them prey to many minor misfortunes and other forms of bad luck; a person afflicted with a similar curse, who, while not directly subject to a series of misfortunes, seems to attract them to anyone in his vicinity; or an object or person that brings bad luck.
