Jatayu is an enemy in Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII-. They appear in groups usually consisting of two to four. Equipping a Bolt Armlet converts their Thunder-elemental attacks into HP (their Ten Million Volts is not Thunder-elemental, however). The player can start by casting Graviga a few times, followed by Assault Twister+ or other strong command materia.

Etymology[]
In the Hindu epic Ramayana, Jatayu is the son of Aruṇa and nephew of Garuda. He is a demi-god who has the form of a vulture.
